From Jessica

“Life can be challenging, overwhelming and stressful. As your therapist, I am passionate about supporting you along the way. I know it can be hard reaching out and starting therapy, and I am here to meet you where you are in your journey. I understand the importance of building a therapeutic relationship and aim to create a safe, validating and non-judgmental space.

I take a strengths-based approach by empowering you, helping you build the confidence needed to handle life challenges, achieve goals, improve your quality of life and become the best version of yourself.

I believe everyone has the potential to heal and the resiliency to bounce back from trauma. In addition to learning new tools and skills, I use evidence-based practices to help you get to the root of your challenges and struggles by creating a collaborative plan.  I take a holistic approach to wellness and believe in a healthy body and mind.

In addition to offering individual therapy, I also offer EMDR consultation for therapists wanting basic training consultation hours, becoming certified, or therapists wanting support in their EMDR practice and looking to gain knowledge on complex trauma.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Laurentian University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto. I have worked in the mental health field for ten years and am a co-founder of BTRC. I am dedicated to professional growth, expanding my knowledge and supporting other therapists in the field.”
